ADMISSIONS
Basic Eligibility for Admission
- The Applicant must have a genuine salvation experience
- He/She should have a total commitment for fulltime ministry
- He/ she should pass in the qualifying examination
- Ministry experience preferred.
Application Procedures
Application form for admission may be obtained from the Registrar of the college by remitting Rs. 100/-. Fill in the application completely and correctly by the applicant alone and send it to the registrar so as to reach it by May 15th. Application must be sent along with the following documents:
Copies of academic certificates and mark lists. (Original documents should be produced at the time of interview and registration).
Personal experience of salvation in written or typed form. Decision to pursue theological study must be the candidate’s own interest and that must be stated clearly. ( one to one half page)
Two passport size and stamp size photos.
Commendation letter from the local church.
Two reference letters (should be in a sealed envelop with the signature of the referees across its flap).
Medical certificate in the prescribed form.
Medical authorization letter signed by the sponsoring agency or parents in the prescribed form.
Letter of assurance of financial support from parents/sponsors/ organization/local church.
A residence certificate from Panchayat office/village authority.
Any candidate coming from a non-Christian background has to furnish an affidivit from a Notary Public (Lawyer) stating very clearly his/her new faith in Christ is his/her own personal experience and has not been forced by anyone. And it is his/her own decision to take up theological study in HMBBCS.
Qualifying Examinations
Qualifying examinations will be conducted in the areas of Theology, and General biblical knowledge and English for B.Th course and for M.Div. course, the test will cover the areas of Biblical Exposition, Theology, Greek Grammar and Misson. The final decision on how many years the student will have to study will be made based on the qualifying examinations.
Arrival
All students both the new and returning should arrive at the college on the appointed day in order to facilitate timely registration and orientation and begin the class with all students on campus. Latecomers will have to pay Rs.100/- as fine per day and Rs. 250/- as absent fine for the class .
Necessary Documents for Admission
1. Original Certificates of Diplomas, Degrees, Bible College Certificates etc..
2. Bedding (Mattress, Bed sheets, Pillow & cover, Mosquito net etc.)
3. Bucket, mug, tea glass, cosmetic items etc.
4. Note books & the student’s stationeries.
5. English Bible (NIV)
Admission and Registration
All those who are selected for the admission will be intimated by a calling letter at least 45 days before the opening of the college. Both the new and returning old students must register their names for the current academic year on registration day. Late registration will be done only with a fine of Rs.100/- per day.
New Academic Session
New academic session begins in the last week of May. Prospective candidates should send their filled-in application to Registrar’s office as early as possible for selection for the new academic year. Candidates who are waiting for the results also can apply.
